Race Officials Education

Want to become a Race Official?

The rowing community is always looking for more people to take up the challenge of becoming race officials.

Whilst rowing experience is useful, it is not a prerequisite since extensive training will be given.

It is an interesting and challenging activity offering the opportunity to become involved out on the water, in the starter box, regatta administration, or judging the finish line and race control.

You will make new friends and learn a great deal more about our wonderful sport.

Start by contacting Mark Weatherall from Rowing NZ and we will get the ball rolling.

Online Education Units

Rowing NZ has developed some online education units for Race Officials to start you off on the journey to becoming licensed.  The first unit is for those people who are new to rowing and want to gain an overview of the sport in NZ.
