RNZ Coaches Conference 2024

For the first time since 2019, RNZ will be holding a Coaches Conference in Wellington 14-15th September.

Day 1 - 9am - 5pm at Harbourside Function Centre, Wellington followed by - 6pm - Dinner at the Boat Shed, Star BC

Day 2 - 9am - 3pm at Harbourside Function Centre, Wellington

Keynote speakers:

Kathryn Berkett - Kathryn has her Masters in Educational Psychology and a mother of two. Her unique ability to engage the audience on working with youth, resilience and development will be instantly applicable to practice. 

Clark Laidlaw - Clark guided the All Blacks Sevens to gold at the 2018 Commonwealth Games and siler at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and has returned to the Hurricanes as Head Coach, a team he was involved with as an assistant in 2013-2015.

Tony O'Connor - Current rowing coach and mathematics teacher at Christ's College. Tony coached the New Zealand Men's eight which won gold at the Tokyo Olympics. Tony's knowledge, passion and approach to keep things simple always provide his audience with plenty of applicable learnings.

Leigh Ashton - Leigh extensive experience working in athlete development pathways, school and community sport, lead her to write the book "The Talen Trap" in 2019. With the tag line - free yourself and thrive amid the competition and chaos of youth sport, this will be a though provoking session.
