U21 Trans-Tasman Regatta

The second leg of the U21 Trans-Tasman regatta begins this week at Lake Karapiro.

New Zealand crews were joined by Rowing Canada on 16 August and current Rusty Robertson trophy holders Rowing Australia arrive in New Zealand on 20 August. 

New Zealand currently lead Australia 155 to 125 points ahead of the second leg of the regatta. Racing runs from 22 to 24 August, and while the Canadians will not be eligible to receive points towards the Rusty Robertson Trophy, they are able to receive medals if they win races.

Results will be published live on RowIT. Points for finals racing will be awarded as follows:

W1x, M1x, W2- and M2-

1st – 6 points

2nd – 4 points

3rd – 2 points

4th – 1 point

LW2x, LM2x, W4-, M4-, W4x, M4x, W8+ and M8+

1st – 6 points

2nd – 4 points

LW1x, LM1x and MixL2x

1st – 2 points

2nd – 1 point
