2021 New Zealand Masters Rowing Championships

Rowing NZ and South Island Rowing would like to thank the Masters rowing community for their patience while an alternate date and race schedule was discussed. We would also like to thank all those who provided feedback toward the suggested NZ Masters/Aoraki 1000 regatta option.

Given the majority positive feedback received on this format, we would like to announce that the 2021 New Zealand Masters Championships will run alongside the Aoraki 1000 from the 29 – 31 October 2021.

Friday and Saturday (29 + 30 October) will see the original 2021 NZ Masters Championships event programme run in block format, with some Aoraki 1000 racing between blocks.

Sunday (31 October) will see a continuation of the Aoraki 1000 with Interprovincial/North Island vs South Island Masters racing included.

More information on the regatta format can be found here.

The event list for the regatta can be found on RowIT

The safety briefing for the 2021 Masters Rowing Championships will be held at 7.30pm on Thursday 28th October in the McClelland Lodge Theatre, Lake Ruataniwha. One representative from each club must attend the safety briefing.

Thank you again for your patience and understanding.
