Women's coxless pair - Gold

The women's coxless pair of Kerri Gowler and Grace Prendergast, coached by Gary Hay, have continued their dominance and claimed New Zealand's first gold at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.

The crew made the race their own during the third 500m, gaining a length on the rest of the field. Gowler and Prendergast then held their ground to counteract fast finishing crews from the Russian Olympic Committee and Canada, and secured first place by over a second.

Men's coxless pair

Stephen Jones and Brook Robertson put on a gutsy display in the B final of the men's coxless pair with a stellar first 1000m. The crew crossed the line in sixth place.
