2020 Tokyo Olympic Game - Day Three Results

On day three of the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, five New Zealand crews took the water to contest one repechage, two quarter finals and two semi finals.

Women's quadruple sculls (Liv Loe, Eve Macfarlane, Ruby Tew, Georgia Nugent-O'Leary) competed in the repechage. The crew lined up against USA, Australia, Italy, Great Britain, and France, with a top two finish needed in order to progress to the A final. The crew produced a strong performance to finish third in their repechage and will contest the B final. The B Final is scheduled for Tuesday 27 July at 12.46pm. 

Women's single scull (Emma Twigg) 

Emma put forward a very dominant display in the fourth quarter final of the women's single scull. Emma crossed the line in first place ahead of Switzerland's Jeanine Gmelin in second. Emma will progress to the A/B semi final scheduled for Wednesday 28 July at 2.08pm. 

Men's single scull (Jordan Parry) 

The top three crews from each quarter final progressed to the A/B semi final of the men's single scull. Jordan finished in fourth place behind Germany, Brazil and Lithuania and will progress to the C/D semi final scheduled for Tuesday 27 July at 11.40am. 

Women's double scull (Hannah Osborne, Brooke Donoghue)

The top three crews from each semi final would progress through to the A final of the women's double scull. Hannah and Brooke finished comfortably in second place behind Romania, with Lithuania in third. The crew will compete in the A final scheduled for Wednesday 28 July at 12.18pm. 

Men's double scull (Chris Harris, Jack Lopas)

The first three crews from each semi final of the men's double scull would progress through to the A final. Chris and Jack crossed the line in fourth place behind France, Great Britain and Poland. The New Zealand double will now contest the B final scheduled for Wednesday 28 July at 11.42am.
