Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games - Day One Results

Five New Zealand crews raced in the first day of heats at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.

Men's Single Scull:

Jordan Parry raced in heat two of the men’s single sculls and placed 2nd behind Greece to progress through to the quarter final. 

Women's Single Scull:

Emma Twigg took control of heat six of the women's single scull and will progress through to the quarter final. 

Men's Double Scull:

Chris Harris and Jack Lopas placed third in a tight heat of the men's double scull to move them through to the semi final. 

Women's Double Scull:

Hannah Osborne and Brooke Donoghue were too strong through the middle 1000m of heat one in the women's double scull and booked themselves a place in the semi final.

Women's Quadruple Scull:

Liv Loe, Eve Macfarlane, Ruby Tew and Georgian Nugent-O'Leary placed fourth in heat one of the women's quadruple scull. The quad will contest the repechage on Saturday 25 July at 1.50pm NZST. 

Quarter final and Semi final times will be posted once all repechages have been completed.
