2021 Rocket Foods New Zealand Rowing Championships Proceeding

The New Zealand Government announced this afternoon (Wednesday 17 February) that the Twizel Region was to return to Alert Level 1 at 11.59pm Wednesday 17 February.

The 2021 Rocket Foods New Zealand Rowing Championships will now proceed as a three-day regatta, commencing at 8am Thursday 18 February. The proposed schedule is available to view here.

A Safety Briefing will be held 60 minutes prior to the first race at the McClelland Lodge Theatrette, Lake Ruataniwha, Twizel. With no weather delays, the first race is scheduled to be held at 8am on Thursday 18 February.

The health of all athletes, coaches, supporters and volunteers should remain priority above training and racing, and all visitors to the Meridian Rowing Centre are encouraged to scan into the venue via QR codes on display throughout the site.

All Clubs accessing the Meridian Rowing Centre tomorrow should scan the Meridian Rowing Centre’s QR code displayed at the Main Gates. For all enquiries regarding Boat Park access, please contact Rachael Kennedy 021 2468 253.
