2020 Rowing NZ U23 Team Announcement
Each year Rowing NZ selects teams to represent New Zealand at the World Rowing U23 Championships. Due to the 2020 Olympic Games, the only 2020 World Rowing Championship regatta will combine Junior, U23 and non-Olympic Elite competition in Bled, Slovenia, 16 - 23 August.
Rowing NZ today announced the New Zealand U23 team who will assemble for training from 18 May at Lake Karapiro.

Rowing NZ held a high performance development camp at Lake Karapiro in January, where emerging U23 athletes based at four Rowing Performance Centres trained alongside invited US-based athletes for a centralised development camp. Today’s U23 team announcement includes athletes currently undertaking tertiary study in the US, some of whom attended this camp. All US-based athletes announced in squads today will continue their training at their current universities and will return to Lake Karapiro by mid-June (after the conclusion of their academic term) to train alongside the New Zealand based squad for the remainder of the campaign.
Rowing NZ will announce a New Zealand Junior team in April to attend the combined 2020 World Rowing Championship regatta in Bled, Slovenia, 16-23 August.
