World Rowing Junior Championships - Day One
New Zealand’s Junior team have completed their first day of racing at the 2019 World Rowing Junior Championships in Tokyo, Japan, 7-11 August.
Three of New Zealand’s four crews contested heats on the salt-water, Tokyo 2020 course with two crews placing first and progressing to A/B semi-finals.
Women’s Quad (JW4x) - Heat
In the women’s quad heat, Eva Hofmans, Rebecca Leigh, Shakira Mirfin and Phoebe Trolove placed first and move to the A/B semi-final.
Men’s Quad (JM4x) - Heat
Ben Mason, Seth Hope, Jason Nel and William Thompson placed first in their men’s quad heat and move to the A/B semi-final.
Men’s Double (JM2x) - Heat
Kobe Miller and Scott Shackleton placed third in their men’s double heat and move to a repechage.
Tomorrow’s racing includes a repechage for men’s double and the New Zealand women’s four heat.
