2019 Rocket Foods New Zealand Rowing Championships

The 2019 Rocket Foods New Zealand Rowing Championships will be held in Twizel on Lake Ruataniwha from Tuesday 19 – Saturday 23 February, with Sunday 24 February reserved as a spare day in case of bad weather.

This is the pinnacle domestic rowing event in New Zealand with the country's top rowers competing for illustrious national championship honours.

Event details

  • Entries closed at 9am Tuesday 5 February with 764 athletes from 49 clubs entered, including world champions and Olympic athletes
  • 77 events, with the largest number of entries in the men's intermediate singles sculls with 34 entries
  • Five days of racing including three days of finals –Thursday, Friday and Saturday
  • Full event schedule, entries and live results will be available on rowit.nz

Keeping New Zealand's waterways is important for the future of rowing in New Zealand. All boats entering and exiting Lake Ruataniwha must go through the boat washing station and we encourage all New Zealand rowing clubs to familiarise themselves with best practise (Check, Clean, Dry) at MPI.govt.nz
