2018 World Junior Rowing Championships - Day Four

A fabulous show of colour, excitement and anticipation signified the semifinals at the 2018 World Rowing Junior Championships in Racice, Czech Republic. Several junior World Best Times were recorded on the Racice regatta course.

The weather turned on great conditions with temperatures starting out in the low 20s Celsius and the water almost flat at the start of racing rising to a rather swift tail wind.

Four New Zealand crews have made their way into A Finals.

Junior Women’s Four (JW4-) – Semi-finals

During the heats New Zealand had recorded the fastest qualifying time and after an impressive race they placed second in Semi-final One.

Junior Men’s Four (JM4-) – Semi-finals

New Zealand placed first in Semi-final Two.

Junior Women’s Quadruple Sculls (JW4x) – Semi-finals

New Zealand placed sixth in Semi-final One.

Junior Men’s Quadruple Sculls (JM4x) – Semi-finals

New Zealand placed fifth in Semi-final Two.

Junior Women’s Double Sculls (JW2x) – Semi-finals

New Zealand placed second in Semi-final One.

Junior Women’s Single Sculls (JW1x) – Semi-finals

New Zealand’s Veronica Wall placed second in Semi-final Two.
