NZ U21, Junior and U18 Team Selection
Junior and U18 North/South nominations close Monday 26th February at 5pm for athletes and coxswains.
Nominations are open for consideration for the following teams:
New Zealand U21
Junior World Championships
U18 North Island or U18 South Island Teams.

For New Zealand U21 Team Selection:
This team competes for the Rusty Robertson Trophy and is a Trans-Tasman competition between NZ U21 Team and the Australian U21 Team. The competition is run as a two test series, each preceded by a training camp at RNZ High Performance Centre. This year we will be joined by a Canadian U21 Team for the August Test Series.
The U21 Trial is a three day regatta, with athletes wishing to be considered - racing a single or pair. Athlete bring their own boats and is open to any rower which meets the U21 criteria.
U21 Age Criteria – must be 20 or under as at 31/12/2018

Junior Team
Rowing New Zealand intends to select crews to compete at the Junior World Rowing Championships, Racice, Czech Republic in August this year. Athletes and/or their coaches may nominate for trial consideration.
Junior Age Criteria – must be 18 or under as at 31/12/2018

Junior Trial Info 2018
U18 Team
This team is a stepping stone for young athletes who would be nominating for the junior team the following year. The athletes become familiar with the process of 2Km erg testing, on-water trials, team selection and camp and competition, in preparation for junior trials the next year. The selected teams have a mini camp at Lake Karapiro with the North vs South competition the same week as Junior Trials.
U18 Team age criteria – must be 17 or under as at 31/12/2018

Coxswains
Coxswains wishing to nominate for team consideration should fill out the Coxswain/Coach/Manager nomination form and attach a coxing resume and statement of why you should be considered by the selectors.
