2018 Rocket Foods New Zealand Rowing Championships
Rowing NZ is pleased to release the Programme for the 2018 Rocket Foods New Zealand Rowing Championships.
This programme sees a return to two days of finals instead of three. The placement of the Boss Rooster is away from other Senior and Premier Men's events allowing for greater opportunity for clubs to enter.
Recently clubs have asked about the new Intermediate grade and whether this will feature at the 2018 Rocket Foods New Zealand Rowing Championships - this decision was made at the 2017 AGM - Intermediate grade racing will not be held at the 2018 event, but will likely feature in the years to come.
The programme also gives regatta hosts the option to combine certain events, in particular the Premier and U22 Quads.
Under 19 heats have remained on the Friday. Heats for the Men's U19 2x and Women's U19 4+ will be held between finals of events 3 and 8. Heats for the Men's U19 4+ and Women's U19 2x will be held between finals of events 24 and 28.
Rowing NZ is also pleased to confirm that the winners of a Senior event will be presented with a Senior Titleholder pin and the club the crew represents will also receive a Senior Titlholder pennant.
