ARC rower runner up at Henley Women’s Regatta
Auckland Rowing Club’s Ellyce Stehlin competed in the lightweight senior single sculls at the 2015 Henley Women’s Regatta.
Ellyce Stehlin was one of 27 entries, and only the top 16 qualified for the next round following time trials. Ellyce was successful and made it through to the top 16 which meant she then had to match race over three rounds until a winner was crowned.
Ellyce had a stunning regatta, progressing to the quarter finals after beating a sculler from Oxford University Women’s Lightweight Rowing Club by three lengths; she then went onto win her next race beating a sculler from Cambridge University to advance to the semi-finals. In the semi-final Ellyce bet a Mortlake Sculler before moving onto the finals, where she finished as runner up after the Wallingford sculler out raced her in the final 250m sprint.
