World Championship 2011 - Bronze in the women's quad

World Championships 2014 - Bronze in the women's pair

Louise was a regular feature in the New Zealand senior women’s quadruple scull from 2009-2012. She rowed in the women’s eight in 2010, including the World Championships at Lake Karapiro where the crew finished eighth, and was then selected for the successful 2011 women’s quadruple scull which took two third places in World Cup regattas and third place in the World Rowing Championships in Bled to confirm the NZL women’s quads place at the London 2012 Olympic Games. Unfortunately the quad didn't claim a spot in the Olympic final because of an oar breakage in the repechage. After a year off in 2013, Trappitt gained selected in the women's pair alongside Rebecca Scown. They featured at the 2014 Bankstream NZ Rowing Championships when they won the Premier Women's Pair racing under Central RPC. Scown and Trappitt started the season well winning Gold at the Sydney World Cup, they then went onto win bronze at the Lucerne World Cup, and at the 2014 world championships in Amsterdam.

Louise is also a hugely successful domestic athlete, holding multiple sculling and rowing titles for her Central Regional Performance Centre.
