Shirley Boys' High School (SBHS) Rowing is looking for a Rowing Coach to join our coaching team for the 2021-2022 season. SBHS Rowing began in 2013 with four rowers. Due to success both on and off the water it has grown to a squad of over 45 boys.
Shirley Boys’ High School crews regularly feature at regional, South Island and National level covering a range of boats from sculling to sweep, eights to singles and pairs - in age group levels.
The successful candidate will be work as part of the coaching group (five coaches) to deliver a range of water and land-based training sessions. The focus of the coaching group is to develop the squad both as rowers and as young men, while inspiring their passion of the sport. All student management and parental organisation is conducted by Rowing Managers who are teaching staff at Shirley Boys' High School.
Hours can be flexible and work around current work/study commitments involving approximately three to four water sessions per week with one land session. Availability for regattas and training camps is required however some flexibility can be provided.
Remuneration will reflect your experience and availability.
