Club Squad Coaching Roles

Due to the growth and success of the Club Rowing Squad at West End, our coaching staff is also expanding with several part-time paid coaching positions being created for the 2021/2022 club season.

Specific titles, roles, and responsibilities will depend on prior coaching experience. Assistant Coaches will implement training plans, help improve rowers’ technique, motivate, and be a leader and role model for the squad amongst other responsibilities. Applicants with head coaching experience that have interest in coaching at the club level may have opportunities in more advanced coaching responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2-3 years coaching experience, a passion for the sport, and a team mindset. These positions are part-time during the normal work week, but attendance at regattas and the annual training camp is expected. There may be opportunities for additional work during the winter season. Pay is commensurate with experience and role.

This position will report to the Rowing Manager & Head Club Coach Nick Dawe.
