Hauraki Plains Rowing is looking to hire a Head Coach on a twelve month contract, starting in April 2021 and finishing with the Aon Maadi Cup, in 2022. We want someone with a sound knowledge of sculling and the ability to impart this knowledge to secondary school rowers. The job requires the implementation and planning of a proven program. This would entail clear and open communication with the other coaches at weekly meetings. Further to this, open lines of communication to rowers and parents. It would also require club house management and maintenance, depending on the abilities of the applicant. The applicant will also be expected to complete some hours as a teacher aide at the local College.
Hauraki Rowing allows all students who enroll in the program to row. We have a record of molding these rowers to a position where they can compete in A Finals at the Aon Maadi Cup. We are a club with a proud tradition, that punches well above our weight with results to back this up. There is a supportive committee culture, with a clear line, of where everyone's role sit.
Ngatea is central to Auckland, Hamilton, Cambridge, Tauranga and sits at the doorstep to the Coromandel. We have a river outside the front door of our clubhouse with some of the longest straightest training water in the country. At Hauraki Rowing the applicant has the potential to progress skills as a coach and communicator, with sound support and guidance on your journey.
