Westlake Boys Rowing is based in Auckland on the North Shore. Westlake Boys Rowing has a strong rowing tradition. Our school is a great driving force, role model and support to the rowing programme. We have a school sports academy run within the school curriculum, and an onsite fitness facility that gives the 60-70 competing boys the opportunity to pursue performance and excellence.

Westlake rowing supports both the growth of our coaches and athletes.

Our mission is to: Build “Champions and Champion young men”, through a culture people want to be a part of.

The Director of Rowing overseas the vision plan, culture and progressive development of the programme with support from -TIC, coaches and a parent run committee that aligns with school values.

There are dual sites to row: Lake Pupuke and Hobsonville Point with ample water and quiet waterways allowing options in most weather conditions.

The U15 Lead Coach position will be a suitable role for many. This will suit those wanting to broaden their leadership experience, or as a part time position that is your passion and aligns with your work, or a teacher keen to be immersed in both the culture of Westlake Boys school and sport combined.

The U15 Lead Coach will have direct support from the Director of Rowing along with an associate coach who will be part of your team coach environment at U 15 level.

You will also have full support from a parent committee, a teacher in charge and a collaborative coaching team who work together to build a 4year progressive plan from novice to U18 level.

We aim to help our coaches develop their trade with ongoing professional development, team coaching workshops, opportunities to attend coaching programmes and a chance to learn from our talented group of coaches.
