The West End Rowing Club is seeking to employ a suitably qualified person to fulfill the role of Club Rowing Manager/Head Coach. This is a full time paid position.
WERC is one of New Zealand’s oldest clubs, located on the Whau River, a tributary of the Waitemata Harbour, in West Auckland.
The club’s facilities are of a high standard, inclusive of a well organised boathouse of good quality, well maintained plant. The present active membership is over 200 athletes, derived from three affiliate schools, club and masters rowers.
The Club Rowing Manager/Head Coach will work closely with the Club Captain to; coaching of the club’s rowers, development and management of the club coaching team,coordinate and participate in the active recruitment of school rowers leaving school, , liaise with affiliate school head coaches, co-ordinate some aspects of the club’s operations and perform some administrative duties.
