John McGlashan College are looking for a Head Rowing Coach to run our high school rowing programme for the next season, with the possibility of the role continuing for future years. John McGlashan College is a high-performing Year 7-13 secondary school for boarders and day boys in Dunedin. We value intellectual excellence, aesthetic awareness and the ideal of a healthy mind in a healthy body.
We have a small but successful school rowing programme, with our focus being on a healthy and positive team culture and environment that inspires teamwork, respect, commitment, and a love of rowing. Our recent successes include Gold, Silver and Bronze medals across the 2019 New Zealand and South Island Secondary Schools Championships and many crews making A finals, and notable results at Maadi:
2017 - Gold in the U18 single sculls, Silver in the U15 double sculls and U16 single sculls, and Bronze in the U18 double sculls and U15 coxed quad sculls
2018 – Gold in the U17 single sculls and U17 double sculls, and Silver in the U16 double sculls
2019 – Gold in the U15 double sculls.

Remuneration will be competitive, recognising your experience and commitment. You need to be available to work the hours required within the rowing programme which includes training, regattas, camps and seat racing.For further information please contact:
