Hamilton Girls High School has shaped and influenced our young women since 1911.
The school has had a long association with rowing dating back to 1976, when the girls competed under the Hamilton Women’s Rowing Club that was established in 1975.
After two very busy seasons which both culminated in good results at the North Island Secondary School championships and Maadi Cup, we are continue to move forward building the club for next season.
This second school term has seen an influx of girls register for the Learn to Row program that kicks off this month. This is the first time (in recent times) the school has run such a program. We are expecting that this will lay the foundations for a very successful 2019/2020 season, whilst continuing with the good work that our 16s & 17s are expecting to achieve as well.
We are currently looking for coaching staff you will report to the Head Coach.
You should have a good understanding of rowing technical points/knowledge of training programs and a keenness to coach
Availability & Commitment:As is required by the program set by the head coach
Team Player – You will have full the support of the Head Coach/Athletes/Team Manager/ committee & Parents
If you have a passion for rowing, enjoy a challenge, can maximise the potential that these girls possess & most importantly, you like to have fun whilst coaching then this could be for you.
