Aon New Zealand University Rowing Championships

The most fiercely contested event on the University Rowing calendar is the Aon New Zealand University Rowing Championships held around Easter time each year, which is competitive on the water and a whole heap of fun off the water.

This regatta is open to all University rowers, but they must be studying (part or full-time) at the time of the regatta commencing and each student must be able to provide photo student identification at the regatta.

There are Novice, Tournament, Varsity and Championship grades and the regatta caters for in a range of boat types depending on the grade.

The racing format is a 2000m course except for the Championship Coxed Eights which are a 3200m event.

If your University is interested in getting involved, please contact Kate Adams for further information.
