Training and Racing guidelines
Rowing New Zealand recommends 2-3 events per athletes at all regattas. This is considered a suitable amount of events due to the numbers of races a competitor might need to complete over the course of the regatta, to maximise recovery for best performance and to ensure quality training in each crew combination.
Attached are the recommended training guidelines for each age group. This is to ensure age and stage appropriate training and to take into consideration other activity's rowers participate in.
