Under 23 Team Take on World

The New Zealand Under 23 Rowing Team has arrived in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, to compete at the Under 23 World Rowing Championships. The regatta, which runs from the 19th-23rd July, will host more than 850 athletes from 54 nations in the largest event so far on the 2017 international rowing calendar.

Ben van Dalen (men's lightweight single scull) has the largest field out of the 21 events, and will be lining up against 33 other countries when he races his heat on Wednesday evening. The women's four and women's quad will also race their heats on Wednesday. All other crews (women's single, double, lightweight single, and men's double, quad, and eight) start their regatta on Thursday morning.
